Here's Yal ku Lagoon in Akumal, Mexico. A small lagoon where the fresh water meets the salt causing "distortion" in the water that looks like oil and vinegar. Mostly underwater footage. Our "skin suits" saved us again but there were other people swimming without them, but they were complaining about being cold.
Our day at Xel-Ha. This place is literally "Shangri-la". Lush foliage, clear water (for the most part), lots of life both above and below the water. The food was excellent and the park was big enough to allow you to not feel crowded. It was really awesome. We would go back again in a second. Next time we'll spend more time with the dolphins.
Walking around the courtyard in February 2011. Our internet only worked at the table by the pool.
Some footage taken from 2/11 of the beach in front of our suite and south a little. We're having a great time.
Suite tour and view from our third floor ocean front suite. Best suite ever....didn't want to come home.
Love Akumal. The snorkeling was great, not to mention the turtles....so much fun.
Here I am trying to get enough courage to hold on with one hand and film with the other but the harness they have me in isn't very secure and I end up chickening out...but you can hear me trying to get up the guts to do it one handed. Hey, if you were there, you'd understand...it was way up there and of course, there were man eating alligators in the lake (not that I would have survived the fall) LOL.
